Cambridge Academy of English -
A member of The English Network (TEN)
The Cambridge Academy of English is delighted to announce that we have become a member of The English Network (TEN). For the last year we have been working closely with trusted colleagues around the country, sharing ideas and working together to improve the quality of service we provide for our clients. We are still independent and will continue to be so. We feel, however, that working with like-minded professionals and schools that we would recommend in England will be to the advantage of our students and clients. We all value our agents greatly and look forward to your continuing support in the future.
The members of TEN are BEET Language Centre (Bournemouth), Cambridge Academy of English (Cambridge), Eastbourne School of English (Eastbourne), English in Chester (Chester), Excel English (London), Oxford English Centre (Oxford), The English Language Centre (Brighton), The English Language centre (Bristol), Torquay International School (Torquay) and Wimbledon School of English (London).

SUMMER COURSE UPDATE
Please contact us for information on availability for our summer teenage and children's courses as we are experiencing strong demand.
We would be pleased to advise you on all our courses.
Key points for 2009
* CAE Professional Centre. We have changed quite a lot of the text and we hope this will help you when you are advising your clients about the content of our most popular courses: Small Group and '5 plus 1' Combination Course.
* CAE Professional Centre. We have simplified the enrolment form and we hope it is now more user friendly. Please note that the Small Group, '5 plus 1' and 50:50 Combination courses are only suitable for clients with the following CEF levels of English: A2/B1/B2/C1
* CAE Professional Centre. We have taken the full-time Individual Training courses out of the main part of our brochure - but these courses will still be available on request. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years we have had a lot of last-minute cancellations on these individual courses and we know how difficult it is for you to get your clients to pay the cancellation charges in such cases!
* Dates and Fees 2009. Our General English courses are now, for the first time, also available in euros.
* The January 2009 English for Business Students course consists of 21 hours of tuition per week. 15 hours of General English in the mornings and 6 hours of Business English in the afternoons. This is a similar format to our ILEC preparation courses, which have been very popular this year!
* Teenage Homestay Courses. Although all teenagers are placed within walking distance of CAE (max. 30 minutes on foot), as an act of goodwill during this bad summer weather, we have provided free weekly bus tickets for teenagers living in Oakington. This has been much appreciated and worked well. We will continue to do this in 2009 and have mentioned the possibility of a 5-minute direct bus journey in our 2009 brochure
