Your social organiser

Katie is your full time social organiser. Her office is open during the lunch break and after school, to give students the opportunity to book excursions, buy travel tickets and help with any other student enquiries. She looks forward to meeting you soon.

Social activities programme

A typical week at CAE may look something like this:

Monday	A night out at a popular Cambridge Nightclub.
Tuesday	Watch the latest DVD at CAE or visit Girton’s Coffee House at the Baptist Church. Tennis courts available for afternoon use.
Wednesday	Travel into Cambridge with your friends for a fun night out.
Thursday	International Party at School – the Thai students are hosting tonight! Enjoy food from around the world!! Tennis courts available for afternoon use
Friday	Classes finish at lunchtime today, so you might want to use the Table Tennis, Pool or Basketball facilities at CAE in the afternoon. Or book on the 3-day trip to Paris.
Saturday	Day trip to London
Sunday	If you’re not on a day trip, CAE is open 2-6pm and 8-10pm for self-study, Internet use or you may want to watch a DVD on the large screen in the common room.

But don’t miss out, as each week is different!!

The programme includes preparation for a number of examinations, especially IELTS for entry to university in the UK.

Regular one-to-one tutorials with your main class teacher will help you monitor your progress and structure your personal programme

Excursions

With so many historical and exciting places to visit in Britain, you have the chance to take advantage of discounted student travel. CAE offers a different excursion every weekend.
Popular day trips include:

Stratford & Warwick Castle
Alton Towers
Bath

But CAE’s most popular and fun packed is the 3-day trip to Scotland & York, offered during the Winter, Spring and Autumn Terms.
