Best autumn student feedback...ever!
Our autumn student feedback was the best on record with more categories than ever being awarded the maximum satisfaction level. The 2011 student feedback in the CAE Professional Centre was also excellent, with 99% of the feedback in the top 'Very Good/Good' categories. We are looking forward to keeping all our CAE students happy in 2012!

CAE hosts TEN Conference
CAE hosted the second annual TEN Administration Conference on 25th/26th November 2011. Over 40 delegates, representing the admin, accommodation, welfare, accounts and social activities departments of all the TEN schools, gathered together for a weekend of talks, seminars and group discussions on work-related issues. There was, of course, time for the delegates to get to know each other socially, starting off with dinner at the conference hotel on the Friday evening. One delegate commented, 'The TEN conferences are so helpful. Each one leaves me feeling more confident in my role and excited to make my school even better.'

New Building for CAE
Many CAE students have fond memories of their lessons in the Meadow Classrooms. We were using this building right up until August 2011. Now look what we have done to it! We have already started building a new and larger classroom block. The new building will be finished at the end of March 2012. Further updates will follow.

CAE Summer 2011
A big thank you to all CAE students and staff for making this a very special summer. This summer's courses were more international than ever, with over 50 nationalities represented on our wide range of courses. It was very nice to welcome Lucia back to CAE after 20 years. Having passed FCE at CAE in 1991, Lucia came back for an intensive course at the CAE Professional Course this summer. She also brought her two lovely daughters with her and they studied on our Teenage Residential Course.

From July 2012 onwards, boys and girls aged 12-15 will be able to enjoy courses at the attractive and well-equipped Old Buckenham Hall school, which is set in beautiful English countryside and provides another safe location for our international students. Full details of this course will appear in our new brochure and on our website later this summer.

Spring Inspections
Quality assurance is very important for CAE and this spring has been a great opportunity for us to show our visiting inspectors how keen we are to keep improving the services we offer at our school.
The first inspection was by the British Council and the second one was carried out by IALC (International Association of Language Centres).
We look forward to getting our reports later in the year.

All Eyes on the
Royal Wedding
The royal wedding was followed with great interest at CAE, where staff and students watched the happy couple on TV, interactive whiteboard and computer. There were almost as many flags at CAE as there were in London. A traditional British meal – 'Bangers and Mash' – was served for lunch after the ceremony.
